Try Pond
An illustrated virtual pond with lilies, a frog and a dragonfly.

Everyday AI, right here.

Use Pond to rewrite a message, understand an idea or turn a few thoughts into a plan. Your iPhone creates the answer using Apple Intelligence.

Follow up naturally. Ask for a shorter answer, another angle or a different tone. AI can make mistakes, so double-check important details.

Chat without Wi-Fi.

Once Apple Intelligence is set up and its downloads are complete, everyday chat can work without the internet. Setup and updates still need a connection.

Search, images and weather need the internet to find information beyond what’s on your phone. Check your iPhone’s requirements.

Your chats stay on your phone.

Your chats stay on your iPhone. Saved memories help Pond remember useful details. You can review, edit or delete them.

The launch version keeps memories and pond progress on your phone too. Future accounts may let you keep your profile, memories and progress across devices. Chats are intended to stay on your phone. We’ll update our privacy policy before adding accounts.

Your day, connected.

Calendar & Reminders
Ask about your events and to-dos. Access is read-only, with your permission. Pond does not create or change them.
Dictation
Ask out loud instead of typing. Your iPhone turns speech into text when this feature is available. Microphone and speech access are your choice.
Web search
Find up-to-date information. Pond sends your search to DuckDuckGo over the internet.
Images
Ask for an image. Pond can search Wikimedia Commons and show a preview, even if you haven’t switched on web search. This needs the internet.
Weather
Check the forecast. Pond sends a location or place name to Open-Meteo over the internet.

Turn off permissions at any time in iPhone Settings. Calendar, Reminders and voice input are optional. Online services receive your search or location, plus connection details such as your IP address.

Water. Plants. New neighbours.

As you chat, your virtual pond grows with water, plants and wildlife. A little world shaped by the things you work through.

No streaks. No lost growth when you take a break. Example answers, failed replies and simple tool results, like calendar lookups, don’t add growth.

Your pond is virtual. It doesn’t restore real habitats or measure environmental savings.

Why on-device?

Pond makes everyday answers on your phone instead of in a data center. Using it instead of a similar cloud AI request avoids that request. Your phone still uses energy. Training the AI, making devices and downloading software also have an impact.

Pond’s separate cloud-water scenario applies 0.317 mL per eligible generated answer word, with no per-exchange cap. It scales a historical modeled high-water GPT-3 scenario using an assumed 150-word answer. That linear scaling is Pond’s assumption, not a universal rate.

It is not measured water saved, current provider telemetry or net savings. It is conditional on replacing comparable cloud use and does not subtract local phone impact. Input words do not count.
